Spotted by Locals travel guide App Reviews

This app is by far the best travel app ever. Offline maps allow you to track your curent position and check best spots in the area, spotted by real locals (in many cities in Europe and North America) and not some people who have never been to a given place. Also, you can filter spots acording to type. Next step would be SbL rural and we are sorted for a lifetime. Thanks for imaging this brilliant source of travel spots.

Updated tips by locals, I found a couple of good places for breakfast in Helsinki and Riga when travelled there

Purchased content would not download due to bug in the app, but vendor does not care.

You can always find what you are searching for! Nice interface and really easy in use.

More useful than any paper guide book. Less obvious than foursquare tips. Offline map. Regular updates for the every article. What else to expect?

I used quite a lot the guide for not touristic places in Berlin and the spots about parks and exhibition halls I find good. Also the articles about Markthalle and the non commercial organization "Khaos" were useful. Thank you for the tipps!

I love this app. Finally a true very up to date cityguide. It is always uodated and suertrustfull because all the articles are written by locals inhabitants of the cities reviewed. Super idea! Usefull and trustworthy. A must have for travellers who love experience the cities they visit as local.

Very handy on your iphone. When you are in the city you can always check tips of places around you. The spots are suggested by locals so you can avoid touristic places. Really great!

With the new app it is even better, the cost is more than justified by the rare info it provides and plus: there is a different free city guide every week. Nice way to stay out of the usual touristy spots..

For a very reasonable price, the guides lead you through the less known and most genuine venues and places, adding to your urban experience that bit of authenticity that real travellers and explorers are always seeking. The app works perfectly: easy and intuitive, once downloaded maps and info are at your disposal at any time, updates are frequent and can be downloaded in few seconds once connected to the wifi. Keep up the amazing work, Spotted by Locals!

I tried this app both in EU and US, and I cant imagine now a travel experience without its insights. Using Spotted has led me to discover many places in the cities that I wouldnt be able to visit otherwise. I avoided the tourist traps in Riga (discovering some excellent underground clubs in the suburbs), managed to have fine dining experiences in NY without having to dilapidate a fortune, immersed myself in what was probably the most authentic German tavern in Frankfurt, and this is just for the start. Totally worthy the 4€ or so.
