A great application with a map that works with the GPS system so you dont need to be roaming to find the great spots recommended by local spotters. Ive used it in Amsterdam and Istanbul and got great recommendations for coffee, night club and shopping. There are also some other tips about art exhibitions that are really useful. Its always up to date and really great to just walk around a city!

Easy to use app, perfect for when I go on short trips and do not necessarily have a lot of time to search for places to go to. The spots mentioned are original and like my taste!

This app is really great. Its the best way I found to visit a city, find all the cool places that you wont find in classic guides. I enjoyed Barcelona and Marseille, found spots I didnt know even if I go there quiet often. the few euros for each city are really worth it. Plenty of great addresses. You won’t be a tourist anymore!

Brilliantly helpful app when travelling to Europes big cities. I love the fact that you are able to mingle with the local rather than feeling like a tourist when you travel. Best feature is that you dont have to be online to use it and when you view the map a flashing blue dot indicates where you are.

I dont think this App is worth that money, its rarely updated and there is much less content than I thought.

You have to pay to get information about a city. Youll pay for each City..

I just love it! You find spots which you wouldnt have found without it, but it doesnt replace a "normal" guidebook, because the big tourist spots mostly arent described. But therefore nice little cafés around the corner or this lovely small shop which gives you the perfect item to take home. Get spotted by locals!

I just bought the offline guide for Prague and actually expected more value for 3,6€ No recommendation of major sights but mainly restaurants, bars and smaller places which werent always worth the visit. The app itself is good, also the map function. Please vectorize the map in a future version and price the cities in correlation to its amount of spots.

I used the app in three cities so far and compared it to other guides. The result? SpottedByLocals is the winner. It leads you to the special places that are not overcrowded by other visitors, but unique and extraordinary.

Seems ridiculous that you have to buy the city guides when you can just view them normally on the website. Whats the point?

Hands down. Easy to use, fantastic tips, quick feedback and troubleshooting via email. Move over convenient travel guides, this is what youre looking for!

Some data outdated, others not particularly interesting. Too expensive for a hand full of nice places.

Meanwhile i´ve stored roughly 20 cities on my IPhone and i use spotted very intensiv during my visits. In most of the cities with spotted i found a lot of places / tipps which are worth to visit. So meanwhile before i visit a cities i allways download or update spotted.

love this app, since youre able to find places you would have never stumbled across on your own! especially helpful for weekend-trips where you dont want to buy a huge printed guide and time is too valuable for expensive tourist traps! 5 stars!

This is definitely my favourite travel guide. We explored NY with it and had our best time eating the best (and cheapest) bagles in the city. Very useful as well: The integrated map can be used without internet connection.

The new version finally made the app real handy. I only travel like a local yet since this app I save lots of time finding hidden places & solid tips on food spots. Its even better than a local friend, because each city has at least 4 spotters, so you get different tastes & a bigger variety. I do especially like the offline map, which I usually start browsing through on my way to the airport & then "save" the best spots in the favorites section. Spontaneous travel cant go wrong any more! :)
